Summary:
Cancer and the rehabilitation process have traditionally been mutually exclusive. The idea of physical rehabilitation has been considered inapplicable during the cancer treatment process due to the complications of the disease and treatment. Recently, researchers have begun to investigate the possibility of cancer clients undergoing physical rehabilitation concurrently with cancer treatment. The occupational therapy literature covers very few aspects of this concurrent treatment.
